Coaching for riders · Unbridled Mindset

Ride with the confidence you know is in there

Show nerves, fear after a fall, a ride that used to feel easy and now does not. Farm owner Courtenay Baber coaches riders through exactly this, in her coaching practice, Unbridled Mindset.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Show nerves

You ride well at home. Then you get to the in-gate, your breath gets short, your hands get tight, and your horse feels every bit of it.

After a fall

You are back in the saddle, but part of you is still waiting for it to happen again. That is your body trying to protect you, not a weakness.

Lost confidence

Nothing dramatic happened. Riding just stopped being the fun part of your week, and you would like it back.

How the coaching works

The Finding Your Rhythm Framework

Courtenay's coaching follows three steps.

1. Settle your body
Learn how to calm your own nerves before you put a foot in the stirrup.
2. Reconnect
Rebuild the partnership with your horse from a steady place instead of a fearful one.
3. Ride it
Take that steadiness into the saddle and the ring, and ride with a clear head.

Why Courtenay

Courtenay has ridden and shown her whole life, from the Junior Jumpers as a girl to the adult amateur divisions, and she runs the shows here at the farm. She knows what the in-gate feels like.

She is also a trained professional in how the mind and body respond to fear. Unbridled Mindset brings those two things together for riders.

Unbridled Mindset is coaching for riders. It is not therapy or mental health treatment.
